Commodore M Moinul Hassan, (ND), BSP, ncc, psc, BN was commissioned in the executive branch of Bangladesh Navy on 01 January 1992. His 27years of service career has fine blend of command, staff and instructional appointments. He is a navigator and devoted great length of service at sea in navigational duties. The Commodore commanded one Corvette, two Offshore Patrol Vessels, three medium and small Fast Attack Craft, and one missile boat of Bangladesh Navy. In instructional field, Cdre Moinul contributed immensely. He was a Directing Staff (Naval Wing) of the Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC) of Bangladesh Armed Forces. He was also a Directing Staff of Bangladesh Navy Junior Staff Course. Apart from all mandatory training, Cdre Moinul had undergone number of training courses both at home and abroad. Few mentionable are: Meteorology Course, Bridge Simulator Operator Course from Italy, Long Navigation and Direction Course from Pakistan, Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC), Mirpur and Defence Services Staff Course from Wellington, India. He has done Masters in Defence Studies (MDS) from National University Bangladesh and Masters in Strategic Studies from Tamilnadu University, India. The officer is an alumnus of Bangladesh Public Administration Training Centre, Savar, Dhaka. Cdre Moinul is also an alumnus of Naval War College, Rhode Island, USA where he has completed Naval Command College Course. The officer participated in the United Nations Mission on Ivory Coast (UNOCI) as Military Observer in 2007-08. Due to his distinguished service in the Navy he has been awarded with Bishista Sheba Padak (BSP). The officer likes to pass his time in reading and writing. Cdre Moinul is married to Sharmin Sultana and the couple has two daughters.
