Rear Admiral M Lokmanur Rahman, NGP, ndu, psc
Rear Admiral M Lokmanur Rahman, NGP, ndu, psc joined Bangladesh Navy on 17 July 1983 and was commissioned in Logistics Branch on 01 January 1986. After post commission training, he was appointed in a variety of duties in various capacities in different ranks. Some of those are Logistic Officer of Ships and Establishments, Instructor Training School, Selector of Officer Cadet of Bangladesh Armed Forces, Staff Officer to Naval Area Commanders, Assistant Secretary to Chief of Naval Staff, Deputy Director and Director at Naval Headquarters, Director Purchase (Navy) at Defense Purchase Organization etc. Presently, he is serving as Assistant Chief of Naval Staff (Logistics) [ACNS (Log)] in Naval Headquarters, Dhaka.
As ACNS (Log) he looks after all kinds of Central Procurement, Budget and Pay & Pension of Bangladesh Navy under the directives of Chief of Naval Staff. In his Naval Carrier, he has undergone various junior level, midlevel, high level courses at home and abroad. Some of those are: Junior Staff Course, Officer’s Selector Course (Bangladesh and Pakistan), Advance Logistic Course (Pakistan), Military Observer Course, International Defense Management Course, Staff Course, Staff and Command Course (China), Defense and Strategic Studies Course (ndu) China, Senior International Defence Management Course (USA) etc. Rear Admiral Lokman has three Masters Degree in his credentials, these are: Master of Defence Studies (National University Bangladesh), Master of Business Administration (Southeast University, Bangladesh) and Masters in Military Science - National Security Studies (National Defence University China).
He has been awarded with the distinguished prize and certificate for his Masters Research Paper “Rise of China and Shift of Future World Order”, by National Defence University, China, which has also been published in the “Military Forum Journal’’ of China. He is a widely travelled person and visited USA, Russia, China, Turkey, Singapore, Malaysia, Lebanon, Pakistan, Hongkong etc. He has been awarded with the prestigious “Chief of Naval Staff Commendation Letter and Insignia” from the Chief of Naval Staff. He has also been awarded with the glorified “Navy Glorious Service Medal (NGP)” by Bangladesh Navy in recognition of his dedicated service. Rear Admiral M Lokamanur Rahman is happily married to Mrs Shamima Yeasmin Luthia. He is blessed with a son, Tahmeed Rahman Taseen and a daughter, Tazreena Rahman Fareeba, both of whom are studing in college. He is a very keen player of Tennis, Golf, Badminton and cross country run and earned many prizes. He loves to read books of all kinds and listen to music.
